Swap Pro respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to delete your account, what data is removed, and what information we may retain after deletion.
Delete Your Account In the App
You can delete your account directly from the Swap Pro mobile app:
- Open the Swap Pro app and sign in to your account.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
- Review the information about what will be deleted and any active obligations.
- Confirm your password and tap Permanently Delete Account.
Note: You cannot delete your account while you have an active swap request, a scheduled hub meeting, or an unresolved dispute. Please complete or cancel pending swaps before requesting deletion.
Request Deletion by Email
If you are unable to access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing us. Include the email address or phone number associated with your account so we can verify your identity.

What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number).
- Your authentication credentials.
- All active listings and listing images.
- Your wishlist preferences.
- Push notification tokens and in-app notification history.
- Your credit wallet balance (credits are forfeited upon deletion and cannot be converted to cash).
- Pending swap requests you initiated or received.
What We May Retain
Certain data may be retained after account deletion as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction records: Completed swap records, fee payments, and Paystack references retained for accounting, tax, and legal compliance (typically up to 7 years).
- Dispute and no-show records: Anonymized records related to strikes, no-shows, or disputes may be retained to prevent abuse.
- Aggregated analytics: De-identified, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to you.
Before You Delete
Please consider the following before deleting your account:
- Credit wallet: Any remaining credit balance will be permanently forfeited. Credits cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to another user.
- Active swaps: Cancel or complete any pending swap requests and scheduled hub meetings.
- Transaction fees: Prepaid fees for active swaps are subject to our refund policy. Refunds (minus 1% processing fee) apply only when an owner rejects or a request expires — not after mutual fee payment and scheduling.
- Irreversible action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will need to create a new account to use Swap Pro again.
Google Play Data Safety
Swap Pro complies with Google Play's data deletion requirements. Users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data through the in-app flow described above or by contacting support. For details on what data we collect and how it is used, see our Privacy Policy.
